There are eight melee weapons in Mortal Shell 2, and each one fights differently. Upgrade them at the Tarforge in Marrow Keep and socket Melee Tarstones there. Combat stones change damage and similar stats. Infusions are chosen stones, not a built-in spread: you pick one. Great Martyr's Blade is the only melee that can take Frost, Black Needle the only one that can take Phantom, Veteran's Battle Axe the only one that can take Burn, and Obsidian Hammer the only one that can take Trauma. The others choose between two infusions.
