Like the Triarch Repeater, the Caged Hystrix is a fully automatic weapon that fires rounds at an incredibly high speed. Unlike the Triarch Repeater, it does not have a delay when pulling the trigger, since it does not need to spin up, which makes it easier to use when under pressure. The downside is that it holds far fewer rounds than the Triarch Repeater, though each round does substantially more damage.

“The contraption pierces the creature trapped inside, prompting a violent and often useful reaction.”

Acquisition

  • Inside Chamber of Becoming (The Silent Steps). See the map.

Forge Upgrades

You can upgrade weapons and sidearms at the Tarforge with Franz in Marrow Keep. Each upgrade raises the forge level by 1 and increases damage.

Feed Endless Core to the Tarforge to remove the +20 cap and keep upgrading through +25.

This weapon starts at +3 when you find it. The first upgrade you pay for is +4.
